CS468 Long Range 16 Port Reader

Multi-port UHF reader for retail and industrial applications

The CS468 16-Port Reader is an Ethernet POE connected UHF EPC Class 1 Gen 2 RFID reader with long read range and high read rate. This 16 port reader has fine grain control of RF output from the 16 ports that enables very high speed antenna switching. This makes it suitable for a wide range of multiport operations including smart-shelving in retail, document control, multi-lane reading for vehicle tracking, and applications that need either continuous monitoring or periodic inventory of large numbers of segmented spaces. The CS486 has the same API as the CS203 integrated reader, making it easy to develop applications for both.

Note for developers:

Applications to control the CS468 reader can be written using C# on the .Net Framework, Java or C on Linux. The CS468 software kit contains example code for all three development approaches. More details can be found in Chapter 6 of the CS468 User Manual. The CS468 and CS203 use the same API.
