The H16A features the MDL laserbarcode scanner – Opticon’s 100 scan per second crown jewel. 

In addition to the leading edge software and top quality scanning technologythat are the hallmarks of the H16, Opticon has also brought three communicationfeatures to the table. The H16 includes a Bluetooth™ radio thatenables connection to any of the popular Bluetooth™ headsets, printersor other peripheral devices. The H16 also includes an 802.11 b/g radioto enable WiFi communication on any WiFi network. Finally Opticon raisesthe bar by including quad-band GSM/GPRS/Edge, making the H16 not onlya powerful data collector, but also an effective smartphone.

Rounding out the smartphone capabilities of the H16, Opticon has includeda slide out full QWERTY keyboard for full-scale data interaction. A MiniSD card port allows you to enhance the standard 64 megabyte RAM and 128megabyte Flash ROM. Finally, the liquid crystal 2.8 inch color displayis not only crisp, but also allows for signature capture and is an effectivetouch screen.
