Component 45cm read range RFID reader for Unique / EM4102 RFID tags

The ID40 is an inexpensive medium-range reader for the popular Unique/EM4102 tags. Read ranges of over 40cm (typically 45cm) are possible with high performance ISO/Clamshell card tags.

The reader is encapsulated for environmental protection. The ID40 provides solutions for medium range RF reader applications such as some through the wall readers. DSP (Digital Signal Processing) is used to provide good range and reduce vibration and electrical noise effects. These effects are not eliminated so care should still be taken to position the equipment away from sources of electrical noise and vibration.

ID40 uses an RS232, Wiegand 26 or ABA Magnetic Track 2 communication to its host system.
