The Pen Reader is an intelligent module that provides all RF and control functions in order to communicate with EM4100/4102/UNIQUE or compatible transponders and a host application. No software is required - plug the reader in and the tag IDs are read straight into your active application (e.g. Excel, Word, Outlook).

For compatible tags: Please see here in the low frequency section - any tag that is labelled UNIQUE/EM4102 will be compatible *Please note that due to the size of the antenna the smaller glass tags will not have a large read range - 12mm glass tag is contact. The ideal tags are disc tags over 20mm, ISO cards or keyfobs.
