This Real Time Location System (RTLS) Development Kit / entry level system is an ideal way to get started in implementing active tag based Real Time Location Systems.
Conventional RFID systems cannot locate assets or individuals – they just tells you where they are when you find them! This active tag based real time location system allows you to know immediately where a tag is.
The RTLS uses readers that can determine the position of tags through the timing of return signals from the tag to the network of readers. The RTLS allows the location of tags to an accuracy of about 1m.

The reader / anchor family allow the creation of a series of location cells; the Ethernet connected unit acts as the systems’ master.
The read range is up to 200 metres between tag and reader/anchor.
