Sterile Injectable Animal Microchips
Product Code: COR005
Suitable for domestic animals such as dogs and cats but also can be used for horses, goats, camels, and other agricultural animals. Injection of animals should only be carried out by a suitably trained individual.
Our injectable animal microchip packs are supplied with the following components:
- multi-use injector with luer lock
- 12 x sterile packed cannula with preloaded tag and luer lock attachment
- high quality, glass encapsulated, parylene coated RFID tags
- Petlog Registration Forms (optional)
The injector comes with an internal metal spring for returning the plunger to its initial position. There is no need to dispose of it after the first injection, it can be used several times, but we recommend a maximum use of 50.
Each cannula is equipped with the microchip tag and enclosed in a sterile barrier pack. The microchip tags are coated with parylene to minimise the risk of migration after implantation. Before opening the blister please read the transponder first. The cannula with the protection cap has to be twisted on the syringe injector for a stable connection. After removing the protection cap, the assembled device is ready to be used.
Petlog Registration Forms enable the unique identity of the chip to be associated with a particular animal and owner on the Petlog Database.
The Petlog service is the UK's leading animal identification database and reunification service. Petlog holds the details of over 5 million animals and their owners and handles over 100,000 reunification calls every year.
Our animal tagging packs use the highest quality glass encapsulated tags conforming to ISO11784 and ISO 11785. These tags are manufactured by world leading tag supplier, HID. You can read more about their veterinary tagging family in this fact sheet.
