The USB Pen Reader is an intelligent module that provides all radio frequency and control functions needed to communicate with Unique, EM4100, 4102 or compatible transponders and a host application. No software is required - plug the reader in and the tag IDs are read straight into your active application (e.g. Excel, Word, Outlook). The reader works with Windows, Linux, Apple Mac and Android devices.

The Pen Reader has found applications in computer security, personal identification, anti-forgery and on-line gaming.

*Please note that due to the size of the antenna in this reader the smaller glass tags will not have a large read range. The 12mm glass tag needs contact with the reader, for example. The ideal tags for this reader are disc tags over 20mm, ISO cards or keyfobs.
